Many of us who learned to knit in North America were taught the English method-sometimes known as “throwing”. If you carry your working yarn in your right hand, this is you. There are other methods of knitting however and one of them is the Continental, or “picking style. Used widely through Scandinavia and parts of Northern Europe in particular, this method of knitting carries the working yarn in the left hand. This method is perfectly suited for knitting in the round and can significantly increase your speed when doing so. It is also useful when doing colorwork.
This class is designed for first time knitters and knitters new to the continental style.
